I am so sorry to hear about yur situation I live in Indiana and we are no better here with the job market. Have you tried all yur local employment agencies? The temp agencies are not always ideal but can provide you a job for short sets of time, and can be right back on trying to find you another ifyou are layed off. There are programs through your community action to help with you energy bill that may take off some of the wieght of expenses. Make sure to get your kids on medicaid this governement insurance will make sure that your kids can go to the dentist and doctor and get perscriptions with no cost to you. Now here is another job idea. All areas have a progam through your local unemployment agency that will help train you for jobs that are available if you do not have the training to do it. For your home i hae a couple of ideas. I took realestate courses and am currently studying to be a paralegal.
Idea one is: Go to your bank and ask them for an extention regading your children. Most times they will help you ifyou hve children that are under the age of 5.
Idea two: Visit your court house locally and talk to your couty clerk and see if there is anyway that you can get an extension on the foreclosure sometimes your local area zoning and clerks office can get involved if you have small children.
Idea three: If you have made your payments on time up until the time that your husband was laid off you are ahead of the game. You can get another mortage company to buy out your current mortage, bu your interest rate will most likely go up and can fluxuate. but you will have anew start, and this beats losing your home. I will do some reasearch and I will post again soon. I have a close friend that use t live in the Chicago Area and I will see what they have to offer. try these ideas first It takes times and diligence but you can do this look online for loan companies that will buy out forclosing mortgages. Let me know how the search is going or i there are any questions that you have that I might be able to answer I will try my best
Good Luck
